The Lotus Temple (Bahai Temple), located in East of Nehru place, New Delhi, India, was built in 1986. Lotus Temple is notable for its flowerlike shape, it serves as the Mother Temple of the Indian subcontinent and is the last of seven Major Bahai’s temples built around the world. The structure is made up of pure white marble has won numerous architectural awards. Around the blooming petals there are nine pools of water, which light up, in natural light. It looks spectacular at dusk when it is flood lit.
